Answer every electronics store WhatsApp price enquiry from your own price list.

Cloodot answers each electronics store WhatsApp price enquiry from a price source you keep current: your Shopify store, a WhatsApp catalogue, a Cloodot collection or an ERPNext price list. When none of them has the model, the AI agent says so and hands the chat to your floor team instead of guessing a number.

Why price enquiries pile up at electronics counters

A customer in Koramangala sees a 55-inch TV in your weekend post and messages one word: “price?” Twenty more arrive before lunch. Some ask about a model you stopped stocking, some quote a number they saw on a marketplace, and a few want the bank offer on top. Each one needs the current price, and the person holding the store phone is also billing at the counter.

The usual workaround is a salesperson forwarding a photo of the shelf tag or last month’s PDF price list. Prices in consumer electronics move with brand schemes, sale weekends and clearance stock, so the photo is often wrong by the time it lands. A wrong quote is worse than a slow one: the customer arrives expecting ₹49,990 and finds ₹52,490 on the shelf.

Gulf stores see the same thing in AED, often in two or three languages an afternoon. The question is simple. Answering it correctly at 11 p.m. is the hard part.

How Cloodot handles an electronics store WhatsApp price enquiry

  1. The AI agent does not make up prices; it answers from the sources you connect. On Shopify, the Shopify skill set’s Check Stock & Options reads the live price, sale price and variants for the exact model. Products in Meta Commerce Manager sync in through WhatsApp Catalogues, with price and sale price. Otherwise a Cloodot collection holds your list: one item per model, the price in the subtitle, imported from a CSV of up to 1,000 rows and re-imported when prices change. Stores on ERPNext can let the agent read their selling price list.

  2. Customers rarely type a clean model name. They write “the 1.5 ton inverter one” or half a model number. The agent searches collections by meaning, finds products by name or model, and shows matches as cards with photos so the customer can tap the right one.

  3. Bargaining is a different job. When someone asks “best price if I pay cash?” or quotes a competitor, a handover condition you write passes the conversation to a salesperson with the reason recorded, so the person who can approve a discount is the one who answers.

What Cloodot does here

  • Collections

Your price list as searchable product cards. Put the price and key spec in the subtitle, hide sold-out or discontinued models from AI search, and update the lot with one CSV re-import when the weekend offer ends.

  • WhatsApp Catalogues

Sync the catalogue you already run in Meta Commerce Manager. Price and sale price come across with each product, and edits you make in Cloodot are written back to Meta.

  • Shopify skill set

Check Stock & Options reads the live price, sale price and options for one product straight from your store, so the number in chat matches the number at checkout.

  • Handover to humans

Write conditions such as “customer asks for a discount or price match” and the agent steps aside with a priority rating, so negotiation reaches someone who can say yes.

  • Unanswered questions

Price questions the agent could not answer land in the Unanswered tab. Answer once; the agent reuses it.

What it cannot see

  • Cloodot does not connect to in-store billing or POS software. If a price lives only in your till, the agent cannot read it. You need one of the sources above, and the agent’s answer is exactly as current as that source.
  • Collections and CSV imports are snapshots: a price changed on the shelf but not in Cloodot is a wrong answer. A knowledge base web link to your price page can re-crawl on a schedule, at most hourly. Live pricing needs Shopify or a custom skill set against your own system.
  • Collections are limited by plan (1 on Basic, 3 on Starter, 10 on Growth), which matters if you want a separate list per branch. And the agent does not negotiate: discounts, exchange offers and price matches go to a person.

Set up price answers in Cloodot

6 steps

  1. Choose one price source

Connect Shopify under Settings → Integrations, sync your WhatsApp catalogue from the Catalogues tab of your WhatsApp number, or create a collection and import your price list as a CSV. Use one source per product so two lists never disagree.

  2. Turn on live lookups

On Shopify, install the Shopify skill set from Intelligence → Skill Sets, enter your shop domain and enable it on your AI Persona’s Skills tab.

  3. Write the pricing rules

In the persona’s Instructions, say how prices are quoted: inclusive of GST, which branch a price applies to, and that bank offers are quoted separately.

  4. Add handover conditions

Add conditions for discount requests, price matching and bulk or corporate orders, so they reach the sales team.

  5. Test with real model numbers

In the playground, ask for products the way customers do, with misspellings and old models, then deploy.

  6. Clear the Unanswered tab

Each week, turn unanswered price questions into FAQs or new collection items.

Built for stores that quote prices all day

Single-store and multi-branch electronics and appliance retailers whose customers message the store’s WhatsApp number before they visit, and where one person or a small team owns pricing. Chains where branches price differently can run one collection per branch.

If you sell online through Shopify, you already have a live price source. If you sell only in-store, a collection kept up to date by whoever changes the shelf tags works well, as long as updating it is part of their routine on the day prices change.

Questions teams ask

Is it free to reply to price enquiries on WhatsApp?

When a customer messages you first, your replies inside the 24-hour customer service window are ordinary service messages, which Meta does not charge for. Template messages, such as a price-drop alert sent days later, are charged per message by category, and Meta bills those directly. Your Cloodot plan covers the platform and the AI agent, not Meta’s charges.

Can the bot show different prices for different branches?

Yes, if your data says which branch a price belongs to. The simplest layout is one collection per branch, with the agent asking which store the customer plans to visit before it quotes. If prices are the same everywhere, one list is easier to keep right. Branch pricing held only in a POS is out of reach.

What happens when a customer asks for a better price?

The agent does not negotiate. A handover condition such as “customer asks for a discount, cash price or price match” hands the chat to a person, records why and rates how urgent it is. With auto-assignment on, the next available salesperson gets it; otherwise it waits in the unassigned queue, with the full thread so nobody asks the customer for the model again.

Can it send product photos and spec sheets along with the price?

Yes. Collection items and catalogue products carry an image, so matches arrive as cards rather than plain text. For longer material, upload a spec sheet or brochure under Settings → Presets → Documents with a clear title and description, and the agent attaches the file when a customer asks for something it covers.

Which languages can it answer price questions in?

The agent understands messages in any language and replies in the languages you select on the persona: English, Hindi and Malayalam for a Kerala store, say, or English and Arabic in Dubai. Prices and model numbers stay exactly as they appear in your source, whichever language the reply is written in.
