A car loan EMI enquiry chatbot that knows when to hand over

A car loan EMI enquiry chatbot should answer the questions buyers ask before they visit, from indicative EMIs to documents, without promising approvals it cannot give. Cloodot's AI agent answers from the finance terms you publish, collects down payment, tenure and employment type, and passes the buyer to your finance executive for the real quote.

EMI questions arrive before the buyer does

"What's the EMI on the top variant with 2 lakh down?" "Which banks do you work with?" "I'm self-employed, what documents do you need?" "Is the processing fee included in the on-road price?" Finance questions come early, often before the buyer has decided on a variant, and they come at night.

The finance executive is the one person who can answer them properly, and they spend the day with buyers who are already at the desk. So the WhatsApp questions wait, or a sales executive answers from memory with a rate that was correct last quarter. In the Gulf the questions change, such as whether a plan is Islamic finance or whether a salary transfer is needed, but the backlog looks the same.

Two things go wrong. Buyers who only needed a ballpark figure go cold waiting for one, and buyers who were told a number that turns out wrong arrive at the desk already disappointed.

What can a car loan EMI enquiry chatbot answer?

  1. Everything you are willing to publish, and nothing you are not. Load your finance information into the Knowledge Base: partner lenders, document checklists for salaried, self-employed and NRI applicants, processing fees, foreclosure terms, and an indicative EMI table per lakh of loan for common tenures, clearly marked as subject to lender approval. Put on-road prices by variant in a Collection. The agent answers from those sources and says so.

  2. A finance procedure gives it a shape. When a buyer asks about EMIs, the agent asks for the variant, the down payment, the tenure they have in mind and whether they are salaried or self-employed. It gives an indicative figure from your table, states that the lender sets the final rate after checking their profile, and offers to connect them with the finance desk. The answers are saved to custom fields, so the executive sees down payment, tenure and employment type at a glance.

  3. Handover rules cover the rest: a request for an exact rate, a question about approval odds or a credit score, or a buyer ready to apply goes to your finance executive's team inbox. The agent replies in the buyer's language, whether that is Malayalam in Kochi or Arabic in Riyadh.

What Cloodot does here

  • Knowledge Base

Lender partners, document checklists, fees and indicative EMI tables from your own PDFs, spreadsheets or web pages, kept as the only source of finance answers.

    Explore AI agent
  • Procedures

A finance enquiry checklist: ask for variant, down payment, tenure and employment type, quote from the table, then offer the finance desk.

  • Custom fields with AI Extraction

Down payment, tenure, employment type and preferred lender recorded from the chat, ready for the finance executive.

  • Team inboxes and handover

A Finance desk inbox with a clear description, so the agent hands loan conversations to finance, not to sales.

What it doesn't do

  • Cloodot does not connect to banks or NBFCs, run eligibility or credit checks, or pull live interest rates. Any EMI the agent gives comes from the indicative table you publish, so keep it current and labelled as indicative. For an exact figure on an unusual amount or tenure, the finance executive should run the lender's own calculator.
  • Customers may send documents in the chat, and the agent can read PDFs. Decide in advance whether your process accepts documents on WhatsApp, and tell the agent what to say if someone sends their PAN card or salary slips unprompted.

Set up finance enquiries

5 steps

  1. Publish your finance terms

Upload lender partners, document checklists, fees and an indicative EMI table to the Knowledge Base as a PDF, spreadsheet or text entry.

  2. Write the finance procedure

Describe when it applies (EMI, loan, down payment or documents questions) and list the steps: collect the four details, quote from the table, offer the finance desk.

  3. Add the fields

Create Down payment, Tenure and Employment type as custom fields with AI Extraction on.

  4. Create the Finance desk inbox

Make a Finance team, turn on its team inbox and describe it as loan quotes, applications and documents.

  5. Write the handover rules

Hand over when the buyer asks for an exact rate, asks about approval, or wants to apply.

Who this is for

Dealerships in India and the GCC where most buyers finance, and where the finance executive is the bottleneck between interest and a booking.

It helps groups that work with several lenders and want every showroom to give the same, current answer to the same question.

Questions teams ask

Can a chatbot calculate my car loan EMI?

Cloodot's agent gives indicative EMIs from the table your dealership publishes, such as the EMI per lakh for 36, 48, 60 and 84 months at an indicative rate. It does not run a lender's calculator or know your credit profile, so the final EMI always comes from the lender through the finance executive.

Will the chatbot tell customers whether their loan will be approved?

No, and it should not. Approval depends on the lender's checks, including income and credit history. Write a handover rule for approval questions so the agent passes them to your finance executive, who can talk the buyer through eligibility properly.

What documents does it tell customers to bring?

Whatever your checklist says. Dealers usually publish separate lists for salaried and self-employed applicants, covering identity and address proof, income proof and recent bank statements. The agent quotes your list as written, so update the Knowledge Base whenever a lender changes its requirements, and the next answer changes with it.

Can it explain Islamic car finance in the UAE or Saudi Arabia?

If you describe your lenders' Islamic finance plans in the Knowledge Base, the agent can explain what you offer, in Arabic or English, and pass interested buyers to the finance desk. It will not compare banks or advise on which plan to choose.

Does it work on Instagram and the website too?

Yes. The same agent, knowledge and handover rules apply on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and your website chat, so a buyer asking about EMIs on any of them gets the same indicative figure and the same route to the finance desk. Your finance executive works all of those conversations from one team inbox.
