Cloodot vs WATI: how do you want to be billed?

Cloodot vs WATI is mostly a question of billing shape. WATI sells dollar-priced tiers with included seats and separate allowances for automation triggers, AI credits and API calls; Cloodot prices on how many customer messages its AI agent handles and includes the agent in every plan. WATI's side of this page comes from its own site, checked 29 October 2026.

At a glance

Checked October 29, 2026

WATI suits teams that want a long-established WhatsApp team inbox with predictable per-seat tiers, and especially those who need Salesforce or HubSpot, several WhatsApp numbers, TikTok or Facebook in the same inbox, or paid onboarding help. Cloodot suits teams that expect an AI agent to carry most of the conversation load and would rather not track automation triggers, AI credits and API calls as separate meters. Cloodot has allowances too (incoming messages, campaign messages, workflow steps, Copilot messages), so price both products against a real month of traffic, not the entry tier.

Where each product tends to fit

Cloodot

4 strengths
  • The AI agent is in every plan, and the main meter is incoming customer messages. You are not buying AI credits and automation triggers as separate line items to keep the agent running.
  • The Knowledge Base can maintain itself. Web links re-crawl on a schedule you set (as often as hourly), and Auto FAQ mines the questions customers really ask from your own inbox.
  • Quality tooling for the people supervising the agent: sentiment and topic analysis, and conversation reviews that score transcripts and suggest coaching, on Growth and above.
  • Built to be driven by software. API keys, an Incoming Webhook trigger, a Simple API Request step in Workflows, and an MCP server so an AI assistant can read and operate the workspace.

WATI

6 strengths
  • Track record and reach. WATI says it has 16,000+ customers across 190+ countries (its own figure), and has been selling WhatsApp tooling for years. Cloodot is newer.
  • Integration depth by tier: two commerce or CRM integrations on Growth, five on Pro (including HubSpot) and unlimited on Business (including Salesforce). Its site also lists Zapier, Zoho CRM, WooCommerce, Pabbly, Make and Klaviyo.
  • Wider channel list in the inbox: WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business Calling, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, a website widget and wa.me links.
  • Multiple WhatsApp numbers with round-robin chat assignment on Business, and extra numbers at $29 a month each, which suits agencies and multi-brand groups.
  • Services you can buy: dedicated onboarding (included with annual plans) covering number connection, Facebook Business verification and BSP migration, and 24x7 email and chat support on Pro and above.
  • A low-commitment way in for India: its coexistence page offers a pay-as-you-go plan at ₹999 with 500 messages free and no monthly fee.

Questions teams ask

Is WATI or Cloodot cheaper for a team of eight agents?

On WATI's published figures, eight seats on Pro come to $119 plus three extra users at $39, which is $236 a month billed annually, and $546 on Business ($279 plus three at $89). Message fees, triggers beyond your allowance and AI credits are extra. Cloodot does not charge per seat in that way; it caps active members per plan and prices on message volume. Total both pages for your own numbers.

Does WATI charge extra for its AI agent?

WATI includes a monthly allowance of Wati AI credits on every plan, and its Astra AI Agents, which cover web, WhatsApp and voice, are an add-on on Pro that is priced separately. In Cloodot the AI agent is part of every plan and Copilot has its own message allowance. What differs is the meter, not whether AI is available, so ask each vendor how many conversations your volume will use.

How do I move my number from WATI to Cloodot?

Ask WATI support to turn off two-step verification if they hold the WhatsApp Business Account, then connect the number in Cloodot under Settings, Organization, Channels and verify with an SMS or voice code. Meta keeps the number live throughout. Export contacts and any chat history you need from WATI first, since Meta's migration moves the number and its approved templates, not your inbox archive.

Do we have to delete the WhatsApp Business app account to use either?

Not necessarily. WATI's FAQ still says to delete the app account first, but it also offers coexistence, which keeps the app running. Cloodot supports Coexistence Mode too: the number must have been active on the WhatsApp Business app for at least 7 days and be eligible for Cloud API. Check eligibility before you plan a cutover date.

Which one has the better AI agent?

We build Cloodot's, so weigh that. The fair test is the same 30 real conversations in both products, judging answers against your Knowledge Base, handover decisions and any action the agent needs to take in your systems. WATI offers a 7-day trial; Cloodot offers a free trial on Basic. Check whether the trial plan includes the AI features you plan to use.
